BOOKING INFORMATION

STUDIO INFORMATION

Can I bring someone with me?

As the studio is small, I do ask if you want bring someone with you, please limit it to one person.

I'm going to be early, is that okay?

I do ask that clients arrive no more than 10 minutes early. If you are using public transport and will arrive earlier, please let me know ahead of time so I can be ready for you.

What should I wear and how should I do my hair?

Whilst I do try to be as tidy as possible, there is still a chance ink or stencil can transfer onto clothes, so please be mindful of this when choosing what to wear.

  • For any spine/neck/shoulder or behind the ear tattoos, can I ask that your hair is tied up out of the way.

  • For any tattoos on the back, I recommend wearing a top that can be worn backwards, for example a zip up hoodie or button up top, or even a backless top!

  • For rib/sternum tattoos, no bra is best however if you feel more comfortable wearing a bra, please ensure it is soft/non-wired and able to move if required.

  • For intimate areas I do make sure the studio is closed off from anyone looking in to provide a comfortable environment for everyone.

Is there somewhere I can eat and go to the toilet?  Can I bring things with me?

There is cafe within Box City and a few shops around the area, as well as toilets.  Feel free to bring as many snacks and drinks as you'd like, as well as blankets/pillows and whatever else makes you feel comfortable. I have a few fidget toys if needed, and a coffee machine!

Where can I park?

If the car park is full, there is an additional car park behind Box City. Please try to avoid parking on the exit and entrance of this car park (by the grass).

DESIGNS

What happens with designs before my appointment?

Typically designs are not sent across before the appointment, however I am aware this can help reassure clients before the appointment.

If you would like to see the design beforehand, please let me know. Due to the amount of custom pieces I do, designs will not be sent out until the day before the appointment date.

For any script designs, I am more than happy to send over font options as well before the appointment.

THE APPOINTMENT

What happens at the appointment?

For each appointment, I will always have several sizes printed out so we can compare and see how the design looks best on your body.

Alterations can be made to the design. Please do not be afraid to discuss any issues!

Designs can be moved as many times as you would like. This is going on your body forever, so we want to get this just right.

If I don’t ask, please make me aware if you aren’t the biggest fan of needles.

If you need a break for whatever reason, just shout, and we will take a moment.

If you are late, this isn’t a problem, but please. If you can let me know. Any more than 15 minutes late and there is a possibility I will have to reschedule your appointment.

TATTOO AFTERCARE

How do I care for my tattoo?

I always recommend Palmers Cocoa Butter (the hard-pressed formula) as my go-to aftercare, as well as Butterluxe. However, if you have other formulas that you have used before and your tattoos have healed well, feel free to continue using them.

Please avoid using any thick creams, moisturisers, Vaseline, Sudocream, etc. on healing tattoos.

Make sure you are not going swimming, using hot tubs, going to the beach, sun tanning or going on a lovely hot holiday straight after a fresh tattoo - this will affect the healing of your tattoo.

The tattoo will either be wrapped in clingfilm or second skin, depending on the placement and design.

Clingfilm should be kept on for 2 hours, removed, and the tattoo should be washed and patted dry with kitchen roll. After two days, start applying a small amount of your chosen aftercare product, once or twice a day until no longer flaking (2-3 weeks).

If second skin is applied, this can be kept on for up to 2 days, then the same method should be followed as above.

PAYMENT

How much will my tattoo cost?

I have a studio minimum of £100.

I do prefer cash payments, so if you can please bring cash.

If you are new client, please make sure to bring ID with you.

The booking fee will depend on the quote of the tattoo, so either £50, £100 or £150.

This booking fee covers the time I have blocked out for the appointment, the consultation for the appointment and my drawing time.
